Paws in the Park 2026 is October 10, 2025 from 10 AM - 3 PM at American Legion Post 14 (Cross Lake) located at 5315 S Lakeshore Drive, Shreveport, LA 71109.

Paws in the Park is Free Admission for everyone!

Yes! We encourage you to bring your leashed, vaccinated, and friendly pets! 

Paws in the Park will feature over 15 local animal advocacy groups, rescues, and shelters; many with adoptable animals. In addition, there will be a raffle area with amazing prizes, a cake walk with delicious treats, over 20 local vendors, food trucks, face painting, inflatable bounce houses, slides, obstacle course, and midway with carnival games!  Bring your blankets and or lawn chairs and hang out by the main stage for live entertainment and contests!

We will have a Pup Cup Eating Contest on the Main Stage at 11:00 AM and a Pet Costume Contest at 1:00 PM on the Main Stage. The cost is $1 or 1 event ticket per entry and sign up is at the Main Stage prior to each contest.  Sign ups will stop 5 minutes prior to each contest beginning. Prizes to be awarded in each category. 

Yes! We take both! We will also have an ATM on site.

Yes! Inside the venue there is a restaurant and a full service bar. Food & Drink Can be ordered via QR code and picked up with ease from the bar inside.  Pup Cups & Bottled Water will be available outside throughout the park.  

The VIP area is a special reserved seating area for anyone wearing a Paws in the Park VIP wristband. VIP access includes reserved covered seating area with FREE beverages courtesy of Raising Canes and light refreshments/snacks.  VIP wristbands are included with most sponsorship packages. 

Event tickets are non refundable once purchased and can be used for Raffle Tickets, Cake Walk Entry, Bottled Water, Pup Cups, Face Painting, or Paws in the Park Merchandise. 

Yes! We ask that all guests be responsible pet owners and clean up their pets waste. 

No, Parking at the event is free. 

Paws in the Park is an Annual Fundraising Event powered by Real Estate to the Rescue, a 501(C)(3) non-profit corporation whose board of directors are all volunteers. 

All proceeds from our annual event go directly to supporting local animal advocates who support our mission to address and impact the plight of homeless pets in our community.
